What are DS Custom Tackle’s Weighted Spring Hooks, and why would you use them? It’s a good question. While Jig-heads fall faster, head down for getting to the bottom quickly, our weighted hooks will fall at more of an angle, and the drag created by the baits used will slow that fall down. This makes your soft plastics, paddle tails, grubs, and creature baits, extremely versatile. They can be fished like a traditional jig-head and bounced along the bottom, or with a steady retrieve, using the weight to keep your lure at the preferred depth.
